Proofs of ability and eligibility to exercise the professional activity may be requested before and during the service. Due diligence will be conducted for the selection process. The proposal has to include the following elements: A brief presentation of the organisation (motivation, services and tools, operations, etc.) Description of your proposition with a description of your online platform features Reporting proposition References Quotation and overall financial proposal A detailed budget must be provided (PDF, Excel or Word - 2 pages maximum) The budget must include the prizes amounts for winners (total of euro(s)60,000 for all prizes for all hackathons) (max euro(s)10,000 for each hackathons, divided into several prizes) The selection criteria are as follows: - Overall quality and relevance of the proposal - Experience and knowledge of the African innovation ecosystem, if possible with expertise on AgriTech sector - Experience in organising online hackathons - Capacity to access the participant target (African data & AI specialists) - References - Budget proposal
- Capacité économique et financière - conditions / moyens de preuve : Please refer systematically to the terms of reference. The applicant must be able to provide the entire service for the duration of the service and justify its expenses/budget (with timesheets for example). The budget proposal is a selection criteria, Digital Africa will be authorized to negotiate and challenge it. We will be attentive to the technical capabilities related to the publication of a hackathon and its online management (preparation, communication, scoring, etc.), references and similar experiences, knowledge of the African ecosystem and the ability to reach the data-scientist community on the African continent. Description succincte du marché : Digital Africa is launching AI 4 Startups, a hackathon program for African startups. The program is part of the European initiative Data Governance in Africa. The objective of AI 4 Startups is to facilitate the access to AI models for African startups and the innovation ecosystem by organising hackathons, bringing together data scientists from across the continent. More precisely, Digital Africa will be organising 8 hackathons between November 2024 and February 2026, 6 of which will be exclusively online. These 6 online hackathons will aim to produce AI models to answer the challenge identified before with the startups. To ensure that these 6 online hackathons run smoothly and make a significant impact, Digital Africa is looking for a service provider to host and deliver 6 online hackathons competitions, from the set up and promotion of the competition to the prize delivery and closure and to provide operational support during the hackathon (including preparation of the hackathons, scoring AI models and delivery of the prizes).
